Examples of Analogue CCTV Camera types
Below are all Analogue (TVI) CCTV cameras suitable for a DVR.
Analogue cameras connect to the DVR (Digital Video Recorder) directly via a coaxial cable and the power for the camera comes from a separate power source. The CCTV camera recordings flow back down the coaxial cable to the DVR whereas the power is via a different section of the cable.
The connectors use BNC connectors and Baluns

Some examples of Items Required For An Analogue CCTV System
An analogue CCTV system needs an DVR. This records the data from the cameras. A DVR requires separate power for the cameras. Inside the DVR will be one or two hard drives depending on how many cameras you have and how many days worth of recordings you want. 30 days or a good rule of thumb.

It's worth noting that most of these cameras come with an excess of cable that comes from the camera itself. In order to hide that cable and keep connections waterproof, a mounting bracket, or junction box, is needed.
These junction boxes also need to house the Baluns which are responsible for providing power and data.
CAT5 or CAT 6 cable can be used with the correct Baluns or a special COAX cable can be used.
